Sols brouillés et remontés’ / ‘Scrambled and whipped soils’ / ‘Geschlagene Ruhrerde’
As part of the On Curating series COMPOST, I cooked a dinner in May in Zurich with the help of Anne-Laure Franchette composed of ingredients indicated by the authors of our publication “Mobile Soils” (TETI Press 2021, coedited by AL. Franchette, Jose Cacceres Mardones and myself), as representative of their contributions to the volume. The contents of the book and the dinner were thus in the first stage scrambled, before being whipped together for edible purposes.

A great many thanks to Giulia Busetti & Alexandra Romy of the On Curating team for inviting us, for creating such a beautiful scenography (Alexandra made special ceramics for this event) and bringing so many nice people together. Thanks to rampe21 for supplying some of the vegetables. Finally thank you very much to all the authors for playing the game and to all our guests for such a pleasant evening!
The ingredients suggested by the authors were shown in a short video, together with a sentence explaining their choice in relation to their text in “Mobile Soils”.
